NX is an integrated CAD/CAM/CAE software package which helps users to create parametric design, solid models, surface modeling, mold design, simulation, and manufacturing. NX is widely used in various industries and integrated in all stages of product development. It can vastly improve design, simulation, and manufacturing productivity. The synchronous technology in NX helps users to design components faster. NX has PMI capability which helps to show product information in 3d models.

TIET initiative to bridge the gap between Academics and Industry through Skill Development
Introduction
The shortage of appropriately skilled professionals across many industries is emerging as a significant and complex challenge to India's growth and future. According to NASSCOM, each year over 3 million graduates and post-graduates are added to the Indian workforce. However, of these only 25 percent of technical graduates and 10-15 percent of other graduates are considered employable by the rapidly growing Manufacturing / Infrastructure development /IT and ITES segments. Hence, we can clearly witness the growing skills gap, reflecting the fragile availability of high-quality college education in India and the soaring pace of the country's service-driven economy, which is growing faster than most countries in the world. As businesses propose to double and triple their workforces and India Inc. strives to maintain its position in the global marketplace, it has become imperative to prepare and plan for a world-class, competent, talented, and innovative workforce.

BIM Awareness Program for Academics
K.R Mangalam University, Gurgaon
9th November, 2015
The last decade has seen a tremendous rise in object oriented and parametric modeling technology. This rapid rise has generated interest in the academic world and the architectural, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry for this technology. Several construction firms have realized the potential of growth by using this technology, and have already started their own building information modeling divisions. As such, the academic world has started realizing the need to capture this technology to further aid and enrich the learning process and, at the same time, cater to the needs of the industry of producing quality students ready to take on this new challenge.

The need of technology for any work in today's world has become inevitable. As such, to keep pace with the changes in the technology has become a challenge for each one of us. The academics in India, of late, have realized that there exists a gap between what is taught in the institutions and what is required in the industry. This gap can be filled by the adoption of technology in the curriculum. With this perspective, various institutions at National level have initiated short programs to train their faculty in various subjects of emerging technologies of their domain.
